Vince Neil

Quando non è con Motley Crue e quando non è occupato finire nei guai con la legge, Vince Neil mostra il suo lato tenero al consueto ed annuale torneo di Off-the-Strip Poker a Las Vegas.

La sesta edizione del concorso è stata fissata per domenica 7 novembre, a Rio. Tutti i proventi dei giochi saranno devoluti in beneficenza in favore della “Skylar Neil Foundation”. Skylar, dal nome della figlia stessa di Neil, scomparsa a causa di un tumore maligno.

La Fondazione “Skylar Neil Foundation” esiste con lo scopo di supportare la ricerca medica, ed opera tramite la raccolta di adesioni e di donazioni destinate unicamente a scopi medici, di ricerca e delle istituzioni educative, dei gruppi o degli individui che si occupano di svolgere lavori innovativi con lo scopo di trovare delle cure per cancro, AIDS e altre malattie.

White Lies

I White Lies hanno annunciato i dettagli del loro esclusivo prossimo tour a Londra il prossimo novembre.

Segnerà il ritorno della band molto nuovo materiale dal loro prossimo (nonché secondo) album, Ritual, il cui show si terrà nella storica York Hall a Bethnal Green, lunedì 22 novembre 2010.

I biglietti dello show saranno in vendita a partire da venerdì 15 ottobre al prezzo di 17.50 Sterline, e sono acquistabili unicamente tramite il sito della band (www.whitelies.com). Registrato con Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, My Bloody Valentine, Nine Inch Nails) agli studios Assault & Battery a Londra all’inizio di quest’anno, l’album sarà nei negozi di dischi a partire dal 17 gennaio 2011.

MTV Music Awards 2010

Iniziano le promozioni per i prossimi MTV Music Awards 2010. La location di quest’anno sarà Madrid, in Spagna, a Caja Magica.

Aperte le votazioni per aiutare i vostri cantanti preferiti a vincere nelle categorie in cui sono stati nominati (Katy Perry e Lady Gaga hanno ricevuto ciascuna 5 nomination quest’anno), che termineranno il 4 novembre a mezzanotte.

Questo è il 17mo anno che MTV mostra l’evento live in tutti i canali MTV, e gli award 2010 saranno sponsorizzati da Suzuki Swift, Calvin Klein Jeans e Dell computers.

Due ex vincitori di EMA hanno confermato che domenica 7 novembre faranno una performance live: si tratta di della superstar pop Katy Perry e degli dei del Linkin Park.

Sir Elton John

Sir Elton John ha promesso ai suoi fan ” momenti memorabili ed ospiti speciali” per i suo prosismo show, he sarà anche il kick off dell’annuale music festival della BBC.

Lo scorso lunedì, il Rocket Man è stato infatti annunciato come il primo performer nella line-up di dell’Electric Proms, della BBC, che si terrà il priossimo mese a Londra UK. E Sir Elton ha promesso di farne un concerto da ricordare, rivelando si esibirà con il leggendario musicista e cantautore Leon Russell, ma anche tanti altri ospiti musicali, tra cui il rapper Plan B.

John ha dichiarato:

“Sono felice di dare il via, quest’anno, all’Electric Proms di Radio 2, soprattutto perchè sarò accompagnato sul palco da Leon, che è uno dei miei eroi musicali. La performance vanterà alcuni ospiti molto particolari, saranno momenti indimenticabili.”
